Join a dynamic team in the banking and capital markets industry and take part in automating critical IT operations and streamlining system performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain Unix shell scripts (e.g., Bash, KornShell) to automate system tasks and deployments.
• Collaborate with system administrators to ensure seamless integration of scripting solutions.
• Optimize existing scripts to improve performance and reduce resource usage.
• Diagnose and resolve script-related issues, applying effective debugging methods.
• Prepare clear documentation, including usage guidelines and version history.
• Work closely with developers, sysadmins, and network engineers to meet project requirements.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and promote best scripting practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting (Bash, KornShell, C Shell).
• Experience working in banking, wealth management, or capital markets environments.
• Familiarity with languages like Python, Perl, or Ruby to support scripting tasks.
• Solid understanding of system administration (e.g., file systems, user permissions, process management).
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail in writing and testing scripts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar IT role with a proven track record in automation.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with SQL and database systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Understanding of DevOps tools and processes, such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
